Colby Lewis is a Charlotte, NC native and self-described “city-country” boy with a passion for creating authentic, imaginative work.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut with an MFA in Acting Performance, Colby has brought characters to life on stages and screens alike — from Cassius Clay in One Night in Miami to Anthony in Gotta Dance, and starring as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson in Chicago’s Hamilton. While performing, he also founded his creative company, Dreamchild Inc, and appeared on NBC’s Chicago Med.

Recently, Colby has been seen on The Blacklist, Blue Bloods, Law & Order, and performing in Kenny Leon’s Hamlet at the Public Theater’s Delacorte.

An athlete, musician, proud home chef (just ask him), and seeker of truth, Colby believes art is where the answers live.
